Floating Toolbar

When you select text in any app, OctoFlow’s toolbar appears instantly above your selection. No hotkeys needed.

The toolbar contains all available actions. The dot indicator on the left glows orange when OctoFlow is active. Actions on the right side (Rewrite, Summarize, Extensions) require an AI provider to be configured.

AI Actions

Select text, choose an AI action, and OctoFlow sends it to your configured model. The result appears in a floating preview panel — you choose to accept or discard.

Snippets trigger on Tab or Space (your choice per snippet). Dynamic variables like {date}, {time}, and {clipboard} are supported. Manage snippets in Settings → Snippets.

Extensions

Extend OctoFlow with community extensions or build your own. Extensions add new toolbar actions, connect to external apps, or run custom scripts.

Configure providers in Settings → AI Providers. You can connect multiple providers and switch between them per action. See the AI Setup guide for step-by-step instructions.

Toolbar Actions

Every action in the toolbar can be reordered by drag, or hidden with a toggle. AI-powered actions are marked with a purple dot.
