Privacy Policy

Overview

OctoFlow is developed and operated by mousepotato. No part of this business involves gathering your personal data, tracking you, or targeting you with ads. This policy explains what little data is involved in running the service.

Data we do not collect

OctoFlow does not collect, store, or transmit:

• The text you select or process
• Your AI provider API keys (stored locally in macOS Keychain only)
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports

Purchase information

Purchases are processed by Paddle, our payment provider. When you buy a license, Paddle shares your email address with us solely to deliver your license key. We do not store payment card details. Paddle's privacy policy governs the checkout process.

License verification

When OctoFlow verifies your license, your license key is sent to our license server hosted on Cloudflare Workers. No other personal information is transmitted during verification.

AI providers

When you use AI actions, your selected text is sent directly from your Mac to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or a local Ollama instance). OctoFlow does not proxy or log these requests. Local Ollama models never leave your Mac.

Software updates

OctoFlow uses Sparkle to check for updates. Update checks send only your current app version and macOS version to our update server. No personally identifiable information is included.

Website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log standard server request data (IP address, browser, page visited) as part of their infrastructure. This site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (pages visited, session duration). No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
